Welcome to Task Force 17

Welcome to Task Force 17 - Starfleet Hazardous And Dangerous Operations Without Support - SHADOWS, for short. SHADOWS takes up challenges that has been seen since the first days of interstellar spaceflight: exploring the unknown. The difference, though, is that the unknown is more distant than ever.

In 2384, a device was rediscovered, far flung from the body of the Federation and concealed in a nebula. The device, developed by a sect of Iconians before any of the portals were ever developed, is powerful enough to send a ship nearly instantaneously to another galaxy, a trip that would take, at conventional warp speeds, 1500 years to complete on our own. Our research and exploration efforts are focused on the other side of this corridor, in the galaxy only known on Federation star charts as "M90", the device itself, and the area around the device, far from the borders of the Federation and without support from the bulk of Starfleet.

Out of character, Task Force 17 is dedicated to its members. Offering several features that make it easier for members and group managers to operate, you have a dedicated command staff that would be willing to answer all questions, offer feedback, and assist in any way they can, in order to make sure your activity in Task Force 17 is fun, active, and helps out with the greater storyline at large.

Task Force 17, and all of our simms, are active members of Bravo Fleet. Currently, Bravo Fleet is one the largest and most active Star Trek simming organizations on the internet today. We're always looking for people to write with us, become new friends and expand our own understanding of the Star Trek universe. Come join us today.

Due to the serious battle damage incurred during her last mission, the New Hampshire has been decommissioned and scrapped. With that, I have been transferred to the USS Bataan, a ship of comparable size that packs a lot more punch - just in time for the fireworks against the Divine. Stay tuned!

Task Force 17 has a new website, and if you didn't work that out already then there is something SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU!

The base is coming along shortly I hope to have everything up and running by tomorrow, a big task at hand but I am reasonably confident that I can do it. I can not wait to join you all in IGOR. And I look forward to the Divine War that is coming along. So everyone knows we are looking for players and we are pretty laid back group so if you are interested hit me up.
